What is Madison Six Pro Trading?
Pro Trading lets you connect your own interface, trading scripts, bots or third-party tools to Madison Six via API. You can place orders, access account information, stream real-time market data and manage your trading programmatically.
Who can use Pro Trading?
Every verified Madison Six user can create API tokens and use Pro Trading.
Does the API support both REST and WebSocket?
Yes. Use the REST API to place orders and access account data; WebSocket provides the order book, ticker and trade data in real time.
How do I create an API token?
Log in to your account, go to Settings → API tokens and select Create token. Enter a name, choose the permissions you need and optionally set an IP whitelist, spending limit and expiry date.
What API permissions are available?
There are four permission levels:
- Spot Trading: place and cancel market and limit orders.
- Deposits: generate deposit addresses and initiate supported deposits.
- Withdrawals: send funds to whitelisted addresses.
- Read-only: view balances, transaction history and open orders.
Can I control how an API token is used?
Yes. Each token can have its own permissions, IP whitelist, spending limit and an optional expiry date. You can also revoke or delete a token in the API tokens section of your account.
What order types can I place via the API?
The Spot Trading permission supports market and limit orders, including placing and cancelling them through your connected trading system.
